Affiliate Disclosure
Effective date: June 2, 2026
FireITM is reader-supported and editorially independent. This page explains our affiliate and advertising relationships in plain terms, consistent with the disclosure guidance of Canada's Competition Bureau and the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
What This Means
Some links on FireITM are affiliate or referral links. If you click one and sign up for or purchase a product, we may earn a commission — at no additional cost to you. We may also display advertising. These are how we fund an independent directory that doesn't charge readers.
How It Affects Our Content
It doesn't. We evaluate every product against the same criteria, and a commercial relationship never buys a better rating, ranking, or placement. Sponsored or "featured" listings, where present, are clearly labeled and do not change a product's score or written assessment. For the full picture, see our Methodology.
Our Commitment
We only list and recommend software we have evaluated, we disclose these relationships clearly, and we keep advertising visually separate from editorial content. If you ever spot something that looks otherwise, tell us at hello@fireitm.com.
